Far cry 4 how to craft syringes ps4

This was one of the first questions I had in the game, coming from Far Cry 3 the answer was not immediately obvious.

This aspect of Far Cry 4 is perhaps the most counterintuitive for a person familiar with Far Cry 3.

Health Syringes – Are created automatically as you collect green plants.

Other Syringes

1.   Gain the Skill to create the syringe.

2.  Make sure you have a syringe case.

3.  Collect the required plant/s.

4.  Hold down the weapons selecter and it will let you toggle to syringe crafting (XBox = Left Bumper, then add Right Bumper).

I hope that this is helpful!

This guy made a great, short video of the whole process:

Plants

There are six types plants that are featured in Far Cry 4, used to craft syringes. They are as following:

  • Blue leaves enhance hunting and focus abilities.
  • Green leaves are used to craft health restoration.
  • Purple leaves are used in the higher-level syringes.
  • Red leaves enhance survival and hunting abilities.
  • White leaves help you turn the tide in a fight.
  • Yellow leaves improve survival and focus abilities.

Syringes

Syringes are temporary enhancements to Ajay's abilities in Far Cry 4, related to Combat, Exploration, Healing, or Hunting. The default syringe kit can hold up to three syringes of each type (excluding health syringes, which are eight, fully upgraded). There are five types of syringes:

  • Health Syringe - (two green leaves) crafted right after you collect the required leaves. It heals two health bars, which you can increase by learning specific skills. They can also be purchased at Trading Posts for K10,000.
  • Hunting Syringe - (blue and red leaves) highlights your enemies and animals in the area nearby. The upgraded syringe allows you to walk quietly and to be completely ignored by animals (unless you provoke them). This is the perfect potion for hunters.
  • Survival Syringe - (red and yellow leaves) reduces the damage taken you will take in a melee combat and fire, and decreases the chances of being stunned by your enemy. The upgraded syringe also reduces the damage taken from bullets.
  • Overdose Syringe - (white and purple leaves) you are both dealing AND taking twice as much damage as usual. Use it if you are in fairly safe spot and you just want to eliminate your enemies as fast as possible.
  • Focus Syringe - (blue and yellow leaves) you move a lot faster and you can stay longer under the water. The upgraded syringe allows you to dodge some of the bullets which will fly towards you, as well as receiving less damage.

when does it unlock? I've played to defending the monetary and retrieving the diamonds from the Himalayas for the gun runner, yet still can't craft syringes. Seems odd that it hasn't unlocked yet. When does it unlock because I think you could craft very early in FC3, yet here it is taking a lot longer.

Was an atheist till I realized im a god.

I have a few skill points on them, but nothing shows up in crafting section. That is the problem. I can't craft even health ones.

Press lb so you get up the weapon wheel then while having the weapon wheel open press rb to get the wheel change into syringe wheel. Syringes for health you make them automatic. Once you collected two greens it should give you a health pack.

That is it. Was looking for it in crafting. You think they would put it there. Thanks

Hope you got it solved. Not as easy like far cry 3 crafting system.

Yeah I got it now. FC3 had them in their own crafting section and was nice and clear. Never saw it appear so i thought I needed a mission to unlock it. Really poor design.

Yeaa I bit of a miss. But once you get into the system isn't that bad.

This may be a dumb question, sorry. But I only know how to craft the specialty syringes I learned through skills, by pressing R1 on the weapon wheel then selecting which one and pressing R2.

you can't. The game autocrates them for you once you have the green herbs.

When you get 2 green herbs you automatically create a health kit. I highly recommend you get the skill that doubles whatever herb you harvest so that every single green herb you harvest gives you 2 herbs, therefore you get a health kit every time you harvest one. I also harvest every green herb I see, even if my health kits are full, as it will auto-create more every time you use one.

Yes I have that skill, I am surprised I never noticed it before, I'd think I'd have lots of green leaves...
